Ben McCarthy
Designer
Born and raised in Sydney, Ben has spent much of his career working overseas at renowned studios in London and Hong Kong.
Having recently moved back to Australia to open his own design studio, Ben is currently located in Sydney, working with local and international clients.
Ben operates a multidisciplinary practice in overlapping fields;
as an industrial designer, maker and artist. He has won prestigious design
awards for both personal and team projects, including Red Dot, IF awards, Good
Design, and German Design Awards. Ben has shown work in both solo shows and group exhibitions world wide, and been involved in multiple
patent registrations.
Ben first collaborated with gohome and on the award-winning launch stool in 2006 and then on the iconic Hollywood collection in 2013. Since returning to Australia, Ben launched the Club Lounging range in 2023 and
the Utility Chair collection in 2024.
