Ryan McGoldrick is an industrial designer, raised on a farm on the New South Wales South Coast of Australia, now based in the Illawarra on Dharawal Country. Growing up with a hands-on relationship with land, tools and making has been a lasting influence on his approach to design, one that values honest materials, considered function and objects that earn their place through how they feel and are made as much as how they look.

Ryan studied industrial design at the University of New South Wales and completed an exchange at the Bauhaus University in Weimar, Germany. His work has been exhibited internationally including at Milan Design Week as part of the Emma Elizabeth curated Local Design show, and in Australia at Sculptures by the Sea and the Friends & Associates Annual General Meeting.

Working across both studio practice and commercial product development, Ryan strives to bring objects from concept through to production, with a particular interest in the sensory and tactile qualities that well-made things can bring to everyday life.
